The Matrix...

The Matrix is simply a life simulation program and most of the humans have been playing the game so long they forgot how to seperate it from reality. The ideas of Socrate's Cave and the Matrix are very similar to me so I'm not sure if we are living in one or both. Sometimes I think about what it would be to wake up one day and realize that my whole life was just a dream and I've been in a coma or something. What if "God" is just a child and we are all toys? I think it all depends on your belief system and whether you're an optimistic person or not. I'd like to think that when we die all of life's questions are answered for us and then we are reborn. But who knows?

About Me....

Hey, I'm Saquaya. I'm 17. I am an only child with an overactive imagination. During the summer before my junior year of high school I attended a summer program at Phillips Exeter Academy. While there I took a video production course and basically fell in love. Before then, I was content with just watching films and appreciating the stories and the actors involved, but now I'm more interested in the directors, key grips, etc.
I'll read anything at all if it's good. I love books series like Harry Potter, Philip Pullman's Dark Materials, and Twilight. I'll enjoy a book more if it has nothing to do with real life at all, but I do enjoy realistic fiction as well.. Music wise if it makes me dance or think, I dig it. I like songs with good lyrics more than songs with good beats. KINGS OF LEON is my life.I love movies, all movies, except maybe horror films because I scare easily. I do enjoy horror films, but I can't say I love them. My favorites of the genre are The Excorcist and the new remake of Friday the 13th.I'm a sucker for romantic comedies. I like movies with dark humor and compelling storylines. Some good movies I've seen lately have been Birds of America and He's Just Not That Into You.I like to eat mostly sushi, Thai, Italian, Spanish, and Jamaican food. I like reading blogs, gossip websites, and I'm a bit of an anglophile.
I used to write stories, but I stopped because I never got around to actually finishing them. My mind would jump to the end and I wouldn't be able to find a way to get the characters there fast or slow enough.I like to write songs when I'm stressed out or feeling angry or whatever.I hate the sort of writing used when writing AP History essays...it annoys me to no end.I would love to write a great screenplay one day...or get around to the epic novel of my imagined life.
